    Anybody have a Morish Idol?

Well I did get him and he definitely does like to nip at my SPS! He's about 2" from tip of mouth to tail and ate 5 minutes after I acclimated him but does also like my rainbow monti and a big branching SPS I have. He is also nipping at some yellow sponges that are underneath some rock work but I...

    Anybody have a Morish Idol?

Has anyone ever tried a Morish Idol in their reef tank? I know they really shouldn't be kept in a tank at all besides the ocean or the aquarium but I found one that eats frozen food and looks really nice. Also if you have had one have you had any problems with nipping coral?

    My 120 Mixed Reef

Thanks for the kind words! Dude is right about the anthias. Meow I don't even remember my old user name and that's part of my problem. Haha The tang is Regal/Hippo tang not a powder blue. I can never get a true picture of her no matter what setting I have my camera on unless I have the flash on.

    My 120 Mixed Reef

I'm not new to the site but I lost my old password and I've changed my email since then. I haven't been on here for about 3 years but am no stranger to SW or this site. Here are a few pics of my tank.

    new to the sump world

That one will work and is the glue on one. The sump will have a lot more bubbles which look like dirt because the sump is backwards and when the water falls in the return area it creates A LOT of bubbles. I think you should if possible start a new sump build and just change them out. That way...

    new to the sump world

This is why I said about lowering the baffles and switching the tank around but I didn't think he wanted to so I gave him the check valve idea. Quote: Originally Posted by deejeff442 those check valves will fail over time the saltwater will eat at the rubber.get a ball valve and put it after...

Chck valve. You can check Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware, or a plumbing store. The pictured one is a compression check valve which slides over the pipe and you tighten the ends and there is rubber inside the ends that compress or you can buy a glue on one and just glue it on the pipe.

    Moonlight

I just took the plunge for the moonlights and really like them. I bought the 2 pack of 2" moonlights that come with 1 plug and a switch. I have a retro fit system in my canopy so they ended up fitting the best for me. You can also buy a strip of moonlight LED's in different lengths that have...

    new to the sump world

Your baffles look a little high in the sump also. Do you have a check valve in your pump line in case the electric goes off and the water flows back and overflows your sump? I think you would be better off if you turned your sump around and used the end with the 3 baffles for your return so it...

Does anyone use a euro-reef rs135 protein skimmer?

I have one and it came with the tank I bought and it takes a couple days to calm down and stop overflowing. It works great when it settles in but it takes for ever. I just wanted to know if anyone here has one and if they have the same problem. Thanks
