Totally agree. The tough part is when u have inverts mixed with fish. You know there not running copper. I hate when they put fish in there live rock tanks. I get why but if that fish has anything now its on the rock

Also you can use a clean glass jar olive for example. Place food in it and then leave at the bottom of the tank. The mandy can get in most other fish can't

You only want to keep fish correct? If so you do not need a skimmer. Any well maintained power filter will do the job
