Lol hell no to expert. Yes to mix and areate water for a min of 24hrs prior to use. Heating it is a good idea. Honestly i don't but i do small more frequent changes as opposed to large less frequent.

Supposedly, its infused with dormant bacteria. Once placed in water it awakens the bacteria. Lfs owner who sells it told me this lol. Nice stuff bc you can get it in standard sizes and shapes. Its not the same as live rock tho

Anybody have luck keeping groups of these in bigger tanks? I always see them in groups at lfs, but even the one owner told me over time they will pick eachother off

Bristle worms are probably the other. They are actually helpful in controlled numbers. Aslong as your fish don't get blown around the tank your flow is fine. Higher the flow less build up of gunk. Lights i would suggest either orbit pro marine or kessils if you really want a nem later on.

For what you want. Go hob filter, good heater eheim is decent, lights depends what you want to use them for

Depends what you want to keep. Kessils are one of the best. I have orbit marine. The pro orbit are more reefer friendly. The kessils are single unit lights. So for a 75 you would probably want 2

Get the best possible you can afford. I started with fluorescent lights and now have leds. Much much nicer

If you want get a bunch of base rock and seed it with 10-15lbs of live rock
