    The filter I have already (I'm assuming HOB stands for hang over back?) is a marine filter that's rated for 50 gallons, plus the UGF which I'll probably get rid of and I also have a protein skimmer I ordered that is rated for 40-80 gallons do you think this will be enough?

    I've researched the UGF and while opinions go both ways, they are still an effective filtration method with proper maintenance.     The tank is probably about 15-20 years old, it was my dads and he gave it to me. I just never unhooked the under gravel filter when I converted it from fresh to salt, and no its not crushed coral, just gravel
