what i would do if you have the time is to pant the lower section of the back black and then transition to a dark blue as you get to the top. you will get a nice feeling of depth that way. BTW what is that monster valve in the tank

Not wanting to highjack another thread started on this devil fish I have to make a few points in their defense. They must be given the credit they deserve. It takes a lot of smarts to escape from a local fish store hide somewhere on the body of unsuspecting hobbyists, survive the trip home out...

You can try a homemade bottle trap. But IMO sometimes the best way is to just bite the bullet and make a divider force your damsels into one side of the tank put in the divider remove anything in the way and net them

First things first, can I assume you used the damsels to start your cycle. Next thing do not get into your tank to clean it. Lastly how large a tank do you have ?
