    As Saxman said a good way to put your clam in a high light location is using a shell here I have my newly acquired maxima on a oyster shell. One thing I have found is if I use some cc on the shell the clam seems to say put much easier BTW NYCBOB nice RG

    This is just my own opinion, some fish do see red light hence the use of red fishing lures as well as the fact that fish are basically carnivores and the sight of blood stimulates their attack mode . I think critters that live in deeper water may not be able to perceive red as that color does...

    count the tentacles on the individual polyps if its clove coral there will we eight. also seems like you have a cyano problem, if it is clove you should be able to peel off the mats from yorur rock with your finger
