Well I really hope that this early storm is not an indication of what we have to look forward to this year. The last few years seem to be getting worse and worse. only time will tell though.. I hope that everyone stays safe during any of this type of weather. Mike O yeah and NICE pictures.

thats alittle long on the lights and will increase the algae bloom but there has got to be a reason for it to show up in the first place. umm has your sand bed been disturbed in the lower layers lately? I still think its going to be something in the phosphates but most tanks always read some...

here is a picture of the sponge filter that I am talking about.

I would use a WC water to set it up just because its already mix and at the tank parameters. The sponge really does not matter as long as its made for the aquarium use. They sell really cheap filter sponges that work great for this. Is this a reef tank or a Fish Only tank? Mike
