How long does the cycle actually take? How will you knwo when it;s done? I want to be sure my cycle is ready for the fish i plan to keep in the tank. also what should the readings be?? when its finished and now?? :cool:

Saturday Bought four blue damsels to cycle the tank. One has passed on .. :( Now the other blue with out yellow tail looks like he might do the same. Is this normal?? Should I check my tank levels>? Is it time for a water changed already>>> iam scared!! Rebecca

I tested my pH level last night for the first time. Of course it tested high...8.8 Can i use the pH UP and pH DOWN from a fresh water kit i had. Or does it have to bough for salt water fish? Is there a differnce between the differnt Up and Down phs?? I know the ph should be between 8 and 8.2...

I am new to this, my tank has been up and running for 4 days with nothing in it. I have checked the salinity all 4 days and it reads .0124 to .0125 is this a little high?? I plan to put live rick in a week inside it. :confused: :confused:
