My lawnmower bit me once as well, felt like a quick scrub with course grain sandpaper.

The lighting for good growth of the cheato will be a spectrum of 6500k.Also the light needs to suspended no more than 4-6 inches above the cheato. Mine did not grow at all until i done this myself.

Sedra 5000 has more gph than the 3500.... 5000=500gph; 3500=350gph(yes it's better). I have a maxijet 1200 lying around I could use for testing as well. I think I can get something to fit in 12x12.... Thats what mine is now that I removed a baffle. You can subtract from the price I quoted if you...
