    how do u feed rics?

    Water changes and light is all i do. I suspect they will eat anything meaty as long as its small enough to fit into their mouths. For the most part I thing they are filter feeders.

    Iodine supplementing

    I dont think iodine does much in saltwater. From what I understand its very unstable and can be easily overdosed. Regular Water changes should give you what you need.

    I would look into a 4 x 54 watt tek-light. MORE than enough light for a 55. cooler. less elec, etc

    phosphate problem

    I have never tested for phosphates in 3 years. I do however run a poly filter bi monthly just to pull out whatever may be in the water. Just seems easier than testing and polyfilters are 5-6 bucks and remove many other things than phosphates...I think...lol
