Maybe you should adjust the air intake valve. Close it 3/4 to 1 full turn and see if you accumulate more skimmate. Do you add additives to your tank? This will also effect the preformance of the skimmer.
ha,ha,ha,ha, now that you mention it, i probably dropped over $3000 into my 45 reef over the past 5-6 yrs(please, don't tell my wife, :D ), and thats penny pinching (where i could) Wow! thats a chunk of change....... but worth every cent!!!!!!!!! :D

Hmmmmm  I beleive we have a few Red Lobsters in WI too. Sweet gig man! Maybe you can put in a good word for me at the next corperate meeting.

I am thinking of adding an pygmay angel to my 45g reef. Has anyone kept a bicolor angel sucsessfully in a reef tank with minimal coral nipping.
I know each angel has a 50/50 chance of nipping coals, but anyone beat the odds with their bicolor?
Hay Tony91tx, i am looking for a HOB fuge, something like the CPR aquafuge. I like these because they are only 4" deep. Please email me saltyreef@webtv.net if you are still building fuges.
thanks
