    Next fish question......

I have a 29 gallon rectangle. My thread is in the nano section if you would like to see the development. I have a question about what my next fish should be. It will be my last one. I would like an open outgoing swimming fish, not a bottom dweller. I don't care for banggai much because they just...

    hlcroghan's 29 gallon thread......

Well, so far my clown goby is doing alright.....he has found his own little cave that the LB can't find him in and when I feed the tank he shoots out and sucks food from the squirter like a baby from a bottle. the LB doesn't eat that way so hopefully it works out......i am very happy about...

    Mandarin fish help!!!!!

Don't fret too much. They can learn to be fed. It just takes patience and time. If he's already skinny you will need to get on it though. It is excellent you put the pods in. Now, get some omega enriched brine shrimp (ocean nutrition) and nutramar ova. It is oyster eggs. Both can be ordered off...

    hlcroghan's 29 gallon thread......

I was thinking about just getting a turbo snail or two. I have two nassarius, two astrea and 3 hermits and my emerald. I don't want to overstock on the cuc and have them starve but I could prolly use another couple nassarius for sure. i have heard a couple people like them. have you had any...

my fish keep dying but my inverts are fine!!

Sounds like they are suffocating. You may have an oxygen deficiency in your tank. Do you have one of your powerheads aimed at the surface for some oxygen exchange? You don't want bubbles in your water column but the surface can't be flat without ripples to break the surface like waves.

    hlcroghan's 29 gallon thread......

NP Spanko......I hear you. I agree that you should always research. I looked at about 6 different sites when I looked at this fish. I didn't realize it stuck only to the bottom and it doesn't look like the LB. I honestly didn't think there would be territory issues. And........I thought the LB...

    hlcroghan's 29 gallon thread......

Okay......I am super bummed out. I think my LB is going to kill the clown goby. anytime he sees him he chases after him and headbutts him and tries to bite him. He is way smaller too. I haven't seen him eat yet. Poor little guy. I had nooooo idea that he could be sooo aggressive. My goodness...

    Anemone Feeding

It is very unlikely that your anemone could sting you. they would prolly just feel sticky to you. However, a good rule whenever you deal with any poisonous stuff in your tanks to wear gloves. a lot of people use feeding tongs.

    Anemone with these lights?

I would say would say you should be fine then. I would stick to one of the easier ones then like a bubble tip which stays a bit smaller too. a lot of clowns are more likely to host that one as well.

    Anemone with these lights?

T-5's are extremely bright and depending on the size of tank you can get away with it. You need about 4 watts of light per gallon. So if your tank is smaller then you will be fine. I have and personally know some people getting away with 2-3 watts with T-5. What size is your tank?
