    40 gallon tank build

Well had a bit of a set back on my nano tank. So I've been focusing on getting that stable again. I'll find out if I'm staying in my current apartment in the next few weeks, then I'll be able to figure out if I can start the set up earlier than December. I was considering getting the tank in...

So I got a clown goby today. The water temp has been lower so he should be fine. Already found a small flame and a small six line at two LFS. So I'm gonna see how the clown goby does this week then may buy the others :)

Ok, so my anemone started wandering the other day, which is bad news since he's about 6" diameter now. Then when I got home yesterday he was half sucked into the intake skimmer, becuase he's retarded (I know butt and mouth with no eyes). Turned off the filter and he came out from being stuck in...

yup, I'm going to use this oppurtunity to eradicate the cyano problem that I've just been able to keep in check. I figure the shrimps and crabs and snails can do without food for at least a full week. What do ya think?

Ok, I'm now fishless...... I'm more upset about this than I thought I would be. I guess at least my anemone, frog spawn and torch move with the current to keep me company..... Gonna start coming up with some new fish schemes to try and have a better community tank.

    SocalNano24s Tank Diary

So this morning, my six line was kind of swimming ackwardly, had some white spots on him. Didn't have time to diagnose or do anything. When I tested on Saturday, the ammonia was at 0. So I think that my anemone must have eaten the semi cooked fish bodies when they became lazy from the heat...

this is a big big set back, it'll be at least six weeks before I get the tank back to what it was. If I can even find a flame angel that small again, first one I'd ever seen that size

ok bad news. I went on vacation for a week. It was 95 in huntington beach the last two days. and when I got back there's only one fish, yet all the coral seems to be doing fine. I thnk my friend who was watching my tank left the feeder lid down, who knows how long. so I think it may have cooked...

Sounds like things are going well. Good luck with the new firefish. What kind? Red or purple? in my experience diatom blooms can happen for the first few months and don't necesarily mean you doing anything wrong. Sounds like your cuc is kicking --- now though
