New pictures of my six line wrasse Anybody know anything about that dark red algae you can see on the rock near the mushroom? It disapears overnight, either by getting eaten or I don't know, and it reappears everyday. Is this something I should be concerned about, or worry about spreading?

I just got some purple tech, similar to purple up for coraline growth.

So I did a 2.5 gallon water change last night and checked some of my parameters. The pH is now staying at 8.2 seems like a good sign. My sailinity is still at 1.025, gonna check my ammonia and whatnot tomorrow probably. I bought some Purple Tech by Kent Marine, seems to be similar to Purple up...

I use the old uploader on photobucket, there's a tab for that. upload your photos, then go to your album, run the mouse over the photo and a box will show up with 3 or 4 text windows. click on the last text window that says image; while the cursor is in the text box press ctrl c and it will copy...

oh and to close the thread, the sweetlips did end up dying after 3 weeks in my tank, for no apparent reason...this was about two weeks ago....

Ah, so regardless of the color the scientific name is the same? Good to know. I suppose I was looking for a common name; I know they are kind of cliche, but I didn't realize they weren't standard in the reef community. Anyways, thanks for the info spanko, I'll check zoaid from now on

I have no idea, most LFS's don't seem to know what frags/colonies they are even selling. I tried to find them in the zoo thread but didn't come across the same kind. They are fairly thick compared to most of my other zoos. Anyone else know what my green colony is in the second to last pic?

the new rock work and sand looks much better. Are you going to leave it stacked like that? I really like the dark sand btw.

yah I just had the mistake of purchasing a sweetlips about three weeks ago. Didn't work out too well, he was doing great then randomly died last weekend. They are a difficult fish to keep in captivity. Unless you know what your getting into and realize how bad of a fish these are for captivity...
