    Heres a few good ones in LI that i check out...Mutts N Butts in Merrick, Aquarium Adventure in Carle Place(excellent quality and selection), Pets in New Hyde Park, and Animal Tailz in Bethpage(formerly Pets).

    20% is good. Never do a 100% change. I have a 46 gallon and i change 5 gallons a week.

    I would highly recommend a Maxijet powerhead. I have no experience with Rio but i have 2 maxi's and they are great. Extremely quiet and energy efficient.

    If the pump on the wet/dry was off for a week and there was no surface agitation then they coul dhave died from lack of oxygen. Do you have any powerheads for water movement?

    Best Public Aquariums

    Theres 2 in NY. Atlantis Marineworld in Riverhead, NY and NY Aquarium in Brooklyn, NY. The one in Brooklyn has been there forever. Atlantis Marineworld is nice if you dont mind the hour and 15 minute drive from the city with NO traffic.
