Flower, why would you tell him not to clean the rock, it looks like it is full of gunk that has settled on it along with algea. I always get a clean bucket of saltwater, a clean new scrub brush. Scrub the rock and rinse in salt water, this removes excess algea and detritus (poop) before adding...

since everything has to be removed from the tank to move it, I would set up a temp tank for the fish in your home first. A rubbermaid tub with a hang on back filter would work just fine. you can add a few piece of your cleaned live rock to the tub for the fish to hide and to keep the water...

I quess I am confused by - light loving inverts. Shrimp and snails or coral corallife makes a 50/50 bulb that is more white and would work well with fish, snails and shrimp, but no t8 fixture will suport coral or anemomes or clams, except maybe mushrooms. T
