The blurping your hearing is probably your stand pipe going from partial siphon to full...or fully submerged under water. Usually when you have a full siphon. You have an emergency pipe as well. +1 to all of the above. You asked for advise and u need it. Sounds like you added to much to quickly... Your tank is lacking in oxygen if u don't run a skimmer. Or u added all the critters and your bio load jumped. Without proper bacteria to keep up...you prob did have an anmonia spike followed...

I'd run a lil hob filter with a sponge and maybe carbon or chemi pure or watever LR ect... I just remember my canister being a pain to clean and get to and wipe up the water. Hths D
