I have this green moss like stuff growing in my tank. How do I get rid of it and what is it? I've heard putting a phosphate pad in the filter will take care of it?

I turn my actinics on around 7am they are on all day when I'm at work. When I get home around 5, I turn on the other lights as well. They are on till abou 10pm

I have power compact lighting on my tank. How long does everyone leave their lights on everyday? Is 12 hours too much? I have some green star polyps, BTA's and mushrooms.

I've had a BTA for a few months now. I've been feeding krill & silversides along with iodine and phytoplex. Last night it shriveled up real small and the tips were sort of grayish. This morning it had moved and doesn't look like the foot is fully attached? Any advice or any pics of a BTA dying?

YES! That was my first step towards reef! I've had FOLR for 2 years now. That's why I was a little nervous. Must say after 2 years in the hobby----still under educated! lol :hilarious
