    Pink Montipora turning white

I would break it in to 3 small pcs and get rid of the die off, Check your MAG levels....they need to be right to keep that coral. Also so nitrates.... I have that coral and it can be fussy, but it grows like a weeD!!

    Opinions on this skimmer (H&S-110)

The turbo floater bl**s ( no offense ) H&S does have awesome reviews. I totaly agree with you. Spend the money and get the best this way you will not be ever worring about, "well I wonder if the H&S would have been better" ? There is always the MCE 600 Deltec!!!!

Is this too much light for my 46 gallon bowfront?? any help appreciated.

Not to sure......what kind of corals do you want to keep??? You will be limited with that set up. Coralmorphs and softies is really about it for that lighting. Maybe some LPS. Once I really started learning about this hobby I fell in love with SPS corals and they require sick lighting....

hang on skimmers.. are they worth it

Get the Deltec MCE 600 if your serious about skimming........do it right the first time....you will eventually see what I mean if you get the prizm. That skimmer is lowest on the totem pole

    coralife super skimmer

Very inconsistant skimmers...they do more overflowing than anything else. When it worked...it did work. It just did not work enough for me. There are so many better ones out there. #1 Deltec (any) #2 Euro-Reef (any) #3 Geo #4 H&S #5 ETSS

    DKH, Limewater, Magnessium

I tested a new batch of my salt today for Mag. and it come up as 1421.5 PPM and that was at 1.026. So it is kinda high...actually it right on. So why did it get to 1600PPM??? Good question right.

    DKH, Limewater, Magnessium

Good question.....I have dosed in months for mag because the salt mix was with a high value. Only thing I did differently was realized after 1 year or more of using the same Calcium test(seatest) that it was 200ppm off..under I mean so I had to raise 200ppm. That was really it. :scared:
