They eat what they can fit in their mouths but their mouths tend to be a little smaller than other lions. Guppies won't cut it for long term. You'll have to look into gutloaded ghost shrimp.

That could be ich. One of their pain defenses against parasites is to shed the cuticle to get rid of the parasites. A full grown lion only sheds about once a month, but if they have a parasite onboard, they will shed more often.

Your lion is getting ready to molt. They dart around, sometimes hang is areas of higher flow and yawn alot when they are getting ready to shed their layer of skin called a cuticle. I have video and some pictures but I also just had a huge virus and lost everything on the puter. Thank goodness...

Yes, there actually is... links to higher incidence. There's lots of journal articles out there. I've worked 16 years as well in an ICU. It doesn't mean it's GONNA happen to you, your neighbour or the one in the next unit. It just means there's a higher incidence. Look it up in reputable...

Night worker here.... and there's a whole mess of disorders assocuiated with night workers. My pop would email me a new disease everyweek. Cancer, ulcers, on and on and on.

Ok, maybe I should say rude comments.... not arguments. I've seen peeps say something, and then edit it and say they didn't say it. Or during a debate (not arguement) they realize their original theory wasn't correct... so they change it. Not too many other forums allow you and eternity of edit...

You know an un-ID'd frogfish can be as small as a couple of inches to the diameter of your steering wheel, right? A big angler can eat everything in your tank. Your maroon fish will be lunch, for either the volitans or the frogfish. And a tank that small is honestly too small for a volitans.
