    My first fish!

My tank has been doing well. I have a small amount of hair algae and I hope it will soon dissapear. I'm not sure why it is showing up as my nitrates and phosphates are very low. My clean up crew seams to be happy so I added a few fish today. They are the first in the tank. At the LFS I...

    Dinner Time!

I can't be the ony one... My little guy just loves to pick at my hand and arm. Everytime I pass by the tank he just jumps out of the rocks and wants to chow down. Before I let him (I think) chow down on me I make sure I wash and rinse (many times). Then it's dinner time... :)

New cleanup crew - move from buckets?

Thanks for the info! I think I moved them all in without a hitch... All the stars went right into the holes in the rocks, the crabs are running all over the sand bed, the snails are climbing everything and the dusters have their plumage out. I would think that is a good thing. LOL As for...

New cleanup crew - move from buckets?

I bought the 100+ reef package. They are all moving and shuffling around in the two buckets. It looks like a crash up derby contest right now... LOL SWF.com did an excelent job in the packaging and the shipment. How do I transfer the starfish? Should I use a net? I don't want to hurt...

    OT: My Photo Contest Entry...

Thank you for looking. I used a Cannon 300D. I guess I should have stated that only color shots with no PS work, including croping is allowed. They want untouched photos. Were you able to take a look at the original jpg at 100%? What I realy liked was the DOF and the contrast between the...

    OT: My Photo Contest Entry...

I'm entering a photo contest that only allows digital cams. The contest also prohibits any PS work. The photos must be RAW or untouched jpg's. This is what I want to submit. It is a pic of a piece of pine bark about the size of my pinky fingernail. (1" x 2") It was resting on the cement...

The SQWD and the "new" (1200 gph instead of the 500 I have now - with new SQ40 lines... :) ) return pump should be hooked up in the AM also... The power head in the front right will be relocated for astectic reasons. It's there for flow right now. I could never have done this project without...
