    Mandarin's diet

The best time to look for pods is after its been dark in your tank for a while. You can shine a flashlight in the tank and you should see all the crazy activity. Sometimes I'll put just a little food in the tank before I shine the light. Then I see some crazy activity that you never see with the...

    Mandarin's diet

Do you have a lot of LR? I run a W/D and I have a huge pod population, but I have 50 lbs of LR in a 54 gal corner tank.

    Acrylic or Glass???

I agree, I like glass much better. You can get really high quality glass that can actually make your tank look clearer. I just bought a 125 gal glass and it was sooo heavy.

    Water change?

I don't think that it will hurt. All new tanks go through an algae cycle. Sometimes it can last for weeks. How long are you running your lights?

1st time pony tank set up!

Oh, and one more ? What about current in a horse tank? my tank is fairly small and I'm not to sure if I should add a PH. I'll have the HOB Skimmer and I'm using the long tube with all the little holes in it for the water return so I think that I'll have a little bit of flow. If I add too much LR...
