Do you have a lot of LR? I run a W/D and I have a huge pod population, but I have 50 lbs of LR in a 54 gal corner tank.

I agree, I like glass much better. You can get really high quality glass that can actually make your tank look clearer. I just bought a 125 gal glass and it was sooo heavy.

I don't think that it will hurt. All new tanks go through an algae cycle. Sometimes it can last for weeks. How long are you running your lights?
