    Starfish

This guy hitchhiked in some macro algae I picked up today. I am curious as to what it is. It has 3 long arms and 3 really short ones. Are the small ones regrowing into longer ones? It looks a little like a brittle star, but I would hate to be wrong and have this be a detrimental type. That...

    Critter on the glass

I don't think that is it. It is VERY small. I am using a 10x magnifier to see it. Un-magnified, it is about the size of a period. I looked at pictures of flatworms and they show a triangular shaped head. This guy has a rounded head. Thanks for the reply though.

    Critter on the glass

There was a thread a few months back where someone asked for an identification of a critter that looked like the attached image. I cannot find that thread as it was a while ago. Does anyone know what it is? It crawls like a snail, but has no shell and is all white. Thanks.

Electricity out = sump over flow

If you have snails, you might want to drill 2 holes in each pipe instead of one. One on each side. It is added insurance that a snail isnt covering the only air hole when the power goes out.

coralife superskimmer 65 gal help plaease

I have the SS65 also. The directions I have say that the powerhead intake should be 3-4 inches below the water. if it is too high in the water, then there is nothing for it to push against and the flow will be too strong. This could be what is causing the cup to overflow.

Skimmer making way too many bubbles

This may sound odd, but before I set up my sump I had the same problem. I used a piece of pantyhose. Not tightly wrapped around the outlet, but sort of ballooned right at the surface of the water. This allowed the water flowing out of the outlet to hit the surface of the tank water and get...
