    sudden ammonia spike

Do you use RO water or tap? Sometimes using chemicals in a tank can throw off the reading. Are there any chemicals you've used in this tank and not the others?

    Emperor fish

Go with a tang or butterfly. Tangs are very impressive in reefs and are safe with coral and inverts. Blue tangs and yellows have great coloration and look well together. Your tank is 5' right? Not the best for a full grown tang or angel but it would work for a very long time.

    problem with humu trigger

Niger triggers must hate being in bags. When I got mine, it bite through as well. I came back to the tank to find him squirming around in a deflated bag on top of the water. So much for a slow acclimation. I hated the idea of all that LFS water in my beautiful tank. I have to agree with the post...

90g fowlr - can i add 2 dwarf angels, if introduced at the same time ?

I got it to work in my tank, but most people would say it's a bad idea. I think if you do it, you should avoid the flame angel. They are one of the meaner dwarf angels. Coral beauty is normally very docile though.

    Free Zebra Eel

Yea they have a pretty decent aquarium where you can pet some sting rays. If you like fresh water fish, they have feeding spots on all the boardwalks. Talk about fun! You drop 50 cents worth of pellets in the water and watch as hundreds of these large mouthed fish literally stack on top of...

    Emperor fish

The Emperpr angels are not reef safe. i've got one and he nips at everything. I've fed ghost shrimp to my puffers and triggers before and he happily eats them as well, so they can't be completely trusted around inverts. If you did get one (assuming your tank is big enough) you should get a juvi...

    Free Zebra Eel

Myrtle beach is great. They had this awesome butterfly pavilion that they closed down within the last few years. So sad. Bu between Midieval times, the ripleys stuff, normal beach shops, and haunted houses there is always something to do.

    Free Zebra Eel

Well, I would love for someone to be that concerned for the welfare of my eel. He is doing great now. If i had him in a bad environment I would definitely be trying harder to find him another good home. Right now I just feel he is underappreciated.

    Free Zebra Eel

I'm in no immediate hurry to get rid of him, so if it takes a while then I'm fine with it. He is a real sweetheart though, would be a great addition to any larger tank. It's amazing how little he eats considering his size. Now when I finally find a reticulated hookjaw moray, I'll be packing his...

    215g stocking advice

I suppose hippos could school but they do get up to a foot in length. Minimum schooling is 3 fish. So you would not be able to school them in your tank. Rays and a porc puffer do not mix. The porc will more than likely nip at the rays eyes at some point.

    Free Zebra Eel

I am putting this in the Aggressive forum instead of the classifieds because I don't like the rest of those reef/nano guys as much and this is a sweet deal. I have a huge zebra eel. He is beautiful and fat but I don't want him anymore. I've started liking more agressive eels and he is really...

    215g stocking advice

The only one of those fish I'd advise you against is that achilles tang. They are probably THE most fragile tang out there. Even a powder blue would be easier to keep and their temperment isn't really compatible with aggressive fish. I know how awesome looking they are, but if you get one be...

Cost of Setting up 10-20gal Nano

If you go to that auction site, you can get much better deals than buying new. I got my 90 gallon with filtration, lighting, 90lbs 0f live rock, coral, and some fish for about $900. I've seen complete nano systems up to 20 gallons selling between 200 and 300. This included live rock, fish...

    Red Coris Wrasse, Anyone?

Hey mihifisi. Nice to see another NC'er on the board. I was wondering how your wrasse was doing. I plan to get one for my 125 and am still getting some info on them.

Can I add this in my tank

I've got a marine beta that's almost 7". It can eat alot, but it would never try to eat even a small V lion. They prefer slim fish and shrimp. Actually, when i try to give him a piece of shrimp he considers too large, he will ignore it until I get the size right.

    What about these wrasse ??

Yes Maroons should be ok as long as the lion isn't significantly bigger than them right now. Adult maroons and V lionfish should be ok and the wrasse will work out fine. The Lyretail wrasse needs a deep sandbed, since it likes to bury itself when frightened. Harlequin tusk is a great fish...
