Shoreliner, thanks for correcting me it is a Green Polyped Toadstool. I really love my Anthias, the male cruises the sand/glass margine and hunts pods when the actinics are on. So cool to watch. Bad pic of the mimic blenny, he/she is my favorite fish, great personality. Kickes the hermits...

Hey there... I don't know where they hide but they come out when the actinics are on mostly, and they blend to whatever color polyp they are on I think. I have green/yellow, orange and peach centered and the nudis take the color of the type of polyp they are on. I just pulled 3 more out of 2...

I am pretty positive it is a polyp eating kind b/c the polyps they started on hadn't opened up in over a week and the other group they spread to closed as well. And since I have started pulling them out and done the iodine dip there are very few left and my polyps have started to open again...

Ok the Iodine I used was given to me by my LFS guy, I think it was Iodine Tech-D or something like this. You use one teaspoon per quart of water. I put it in an empty small bucket I had. Dip for 7 minutes no longer! You will see some of them fall off and I swished it a bit to dislodge...

I used a rubberband and left it on for a week and the mat is now frimly attached to the rock I placed it on. Cut the rubberband off and no problems. HTH

My Red Sea Mimic Blenny bit my hand the other day while rearranging rock. Suprised the crap outta me! :eek:
