OK To Topoff With Kalkwasser All the Time?

Vinegar will allow the water to hold more kalk in the solution. I would not recomend doing that until you know how your tank is doing with the normal mix. I dose it as 1 tsp. per 1 gallon of RO/DI.

A 70W MH would be good for that size tank. Some bulb makers have 10K's if you search.

DO NOT STIR THE SAND. Your bed is working, the bubbles are good and they will come out on their own.

    I have a snail problem

I agree with Wax, 1.023 is to low for your snails and the temp I would bump up slightly too. They are dying a slow death. Do you have alot of hermits? They like to snack on snails to. ***)

    Hermits in a Reef Tank

I have problems with hermits. I buy them and they kill each other.(yes I feed them) The past couple years I have only 1 in my 90 and it's a scarlet. It's is just fine by itself and it cruzes the whole tank. I like to add mixed snails to do the cleaning in the tank.

    Corraline tured to white

2 reasons come to my mind. 1) alk is low 2)when you did a water change air hit the coraline. Air will kill it if exposed for to long. HTH

    This good lighting for clams?

Tank size does not matter. It needs quality of light not a quanity of the wrong light. For instance; 1 250WMH over a 10 gallon tank and one over a 100G tank. A clam is 8" under the surface right under the bulb in both tanks. Which has the better light? In one tank is 25 wpg and the other is 2.5...
