yesterday I got a nassarius snail. Today he is gone. he might be hiding in a hole in the one piece of live rock in this particular display I suppose, has anyone had this happen. No one ate him as there is no shell either. any idea's?

i have done this also. I put a large piece of plastic over the tank, leaving it really loose for air and then tape around the bottom so the chemical don't get in. Transporting them would probably just cause undo stress, and be a pain. (I use heavy plastic 'tarps' you can get at walmart.

mine eats blood worms and mysis, both frozen. The blood worms are ugly, but it's funny to watch the mandarin suck them in.

can one feed a lion fish frozen food, mysis for example? the lfs told me they keep them until they will exept frozen food. I plan to have them feed the fish for me, but is this good for a lion fish, enough nutrition? (Dwarf lion)

my cc star is at the top all the time. he was pretty thin when I got him, so I fed him some shrimp.....everyday for several days. I don't want to overfeed him and kill him, is that possible. I researched them and read they will come to the top of the tank when hungry, can he be that hungry?

The mandarin may or may not except frozen mysis shrimp, but most likely not. You can order pods online if you conduct a search. You may have a hard time keeping up with the mandarin though. Training him to feed on mysis might be worth the effort if you can't keep you pod supply up. You may also...

You should train someone to test the water and feed the fish, however, if this is not an option, the fish can go without food for 7 days easily. However, I would be conserned about having someone check on the tank for temperature reasons and so forth. A timer on the lights is a good idea, but...
