B4 you get another fish I would add any Live Rock first (you will get a mini cycle from the rock). Shawn not trying to be argumentative but wouldn't raising the water level in the chamber allow the skimmer to produce foam over into the collection cup. Not saying put a 300gal rated skimmer on a 55, but if you had a 75 rated skimmer on a 55 with a low bio load.
