I thought that the frozen food just had a little water added to make it freeze in the cube shape. I did not know it was a chemical. Are you sure? :notsure: I guess I can check the package when I get home and read the ingredients.

Some other cleanup crew are the Turbos. They will keep your glass clean of algae. And don't forget hermits. I like the scarlets. Their colors are bright and they don't tend to fight as much as the blue legs. They are good to get scraps of food and debris. HTH -C

I had a UV sterilizer when I first started my tank. It did help with the clearness of the water. But later when I added some filter feeders I took it out of the tank. So far my water has been fine. And this was 3 months ago. And my filter feeders look alot better too. HTH -C

From your picture it looks like your critter is a species of mantis. Have you seen the body? I also bought some rock from Fiji and acquired a little critter that looks like him. After I stayed up one night and caught a glimpse of his body, and posted a few more pictures, it confirmed it. HTH -C
