Well I finally broke down the aquarium and added bulkheads to my tank. I believe it came out very well. The wife also painted a background. I did have a few casualties during the process, which really got me down but thanks to Pegasus I now understand why. I also have built the sump and refugium...

Kristin where are you getting your amphipods? Fishbowl told me they could order copepodes but I'm looking for amphipods.

Has anyone had their hermit crabs kill off their snails? They are not killing and hosting the shells. They are just ganging up and killing them and moving on.

It is a 80 gallon with about 100 lbs of live figi rock and 1-2 inches of live sand. The refugium will be made from a 50 gallon.

I have purchased a bag of 250 amphipod and copepod mix and a 3000 bag of copepod but I put all of them in my display tank, as I have not set up my refugium yet. I guess I sort of jumped the gun buying a dragonet that needs live food.

First off where is or why do we not have threads on feeding? I was wondering if anyone has successfully kept amphipods or copepodes thriving for their fish to feed on? If so what breeds do you use and how did you establish them? I want my dragonet to be able to eat when ever he desires. Thanks

If you have the fluval sky 3000-25000k it is programmable. You can have any shade of blue or red or green or whatever color your going for. I have a soft coral at the bottom of a 27" tank and a anemone, both of which are fine with this light

It's probably better you over shot it. That way the motor isn't trying so hard all of the time and will probably last longer. Just my opinion. I have been reading reviews on these as well as I am getting ready to set up my sump. Thanks for the review.

Thanks Kristin. Yea it was definitely a freaking out moment. I've wanted a saltwater aquarium for too long. If it would have bust I would of been devastated. Yeah so sad. Snakes are some evil creatures. I feel for the family. Especially beings they are so into exotic animals
