i cant wait until i get some good colors in there.. it is kind of bland

My tank is about 1.5 months old. It is 50 lbs. of LR. This week may be the damnsels last week in my tank if my trap pulls thru.

I got my cleaner crew last week and all of the algae that was on the Live Rock went away in a couple of days. But the algae on the sand and walls has not changed at all. I even got a qeen conch as well. Should i get a specific type of cleaner for the Live Sand in my new tank?

IMO backrounds should be painted black only. Great colors. And did u use reflective paint for the backround? It looks super reflective, my black reflects a little bit but urs looks like a mirror. Overall it is a really nice setup.

I have a pro clear wet dry filter with protien skimmer, are the bioballs supposed to grow visible bacteria/algae on them?? I have been running it for a while and they still look brand new. Just a quick yes or no and how long it will take to get the bacteria there is all i need.

It is def not red slime. I have been told that red slime siphons off when u do a water change, i had trouble scrubbing it off with a brush!!! but i increased flow, reduced light, and did a water change. If they are diatoms, are they a big problem? will they go away after the measures i have...

also i have 50 lbs of ls and about 80 percent of the visible rock surface is covered. The sand has some on it but not too much.

i just got home from and school and... It is not really slimy, some spots were tho. The slimy spots flaked off when i peeled it. I lowered the powerhead from the filter down (was on surface) Lights been off all day Cleaner crew should arrive this wednesday. along with queen conch.

It is not really like a carpet. There are visible areas where it does not grow.
