r.i.p. I will have to get a replacement. Thanks for all your suggestions. As to the salinity, everyone has different opinions on what will work or not work for my tank. I've heard everything from 1.023 to 1.026. I will just have to find what works best for the tank and it's inhabitants.

Ok. Here's what it looks like 20 mins after the first photo.

I went to move it and it started to open up a little. Only a few tentacles are normal and the rest are shriveled up and look pretty bad. I will leave it for a little bit and see if anything changes - otherwise i'm going to have to pull it because I won't be here to monitor any changes. :(

Now it's deflated and the foot has let go of the rock. I'm guessing it's dead and I need to pull it from the tank.
