Don't mean to be blunt, and i've never kept sunpolyps....but they will die if not spot fed. I'd spot feed with frozen foods every other day. Like stated i've never kept them but i have looked into getting some. I hear a good trick to feeding them is using a two liter bottle with the bottom cut...

do you have a clean up crew? you many want to get a additional powerhead, which will help with the algea(cyano). do you feed your sun polyps?

you need something to remove it like stated, i'm started using the new Chemipure w/ phosband stuff in it. seems to work well, but just started using it.

sounds like a fun little project, i'd get a little aquapod or something like that. reason being, its got enough light for softies and having a top like they have you will have less evaporation and less top off.
