    Help me catch my fish

I'm trying to catch a 4 inch Kole tang to take back to the store. He keeps munching on my clams and fox corals and I'm getting tired of him. How am I supposed to do this? He's too fast for a net and he seems to be too smart for anything else. Please help me.

    Help my clams

I do have a Kole tang that picks off their shells. I've never seen any bite marks on the actual mantles. I guess that could be the issue. I just didn't think that he could cause all the clams to stay closed. I really hope he leaves them alone. He's my favorite fish and the clams are my favorite...

    Help my clams

I have 4 Crocea clams that all of the sudden started closing during the day a couple days ago. They stay open at night, but during the day they are shut tight. I can't figure out what is wrong with them. I don't see any parasites and I have inspected each clam carefully. I did recently buy 2...

    New rock=New aquascape=Photo shoot

Just an update. We are now keeping the tank again. I wish my parents would stop flip flopping on me. It's stressing me out. On top of that I have exams all next week and I have to apply for scholarships and whatnot now that I've finished applying to college. I may get a nano in college but I...

    New rock=New aquascape=Photo shoot

I thought he wanted to keep it too. I talked to them this morning and he's still set on selling the tank, but my mom is looking like she won't let him. And in this house, what she says goes. So maybe it won't go afterall. We just put in new halide bulbs today. Same bulbs as before just a...

    New rock=New aquascape=Photo shoot

Actually I was lucky and both my dragonets ate prepared food right off the bat. They are both fat. Prolly the fattest fish I have. I've had 1 since August and the other since November. On another note. Looks like I'm going to have to sell the tank. My dad told me today that I better have it...

    New rock=New aquascape=Photo shoot

Here's the last 4 pics that I didn't have time to resize yesterday. 1. Clam corner. The 2 smaller ones are the new ones that we just got this weekend. 2. My frogspawn that almost died due to ALK issues but it is now healthy again and starting to grow. 3. A SPS hitchiker that I got on a rock of...

    New rock=New aquascape=Photo shoot

I wouldn't recommend keeping 2 mandarins in the same tank, especially if they are both males like mine are. They occasionally fight, but there is no lasting damage and both are healthy and eating, so right now I don't see a problem. Plus it's more of a hassle to both the fish if I try to get one...

    New rock=New aquascape=Photo shoot

I'm 17 btw. And I love this hobby. This tank is a group effort between me and my dad. I got him into the hobby when I took him the the fish store and showed him their display tank. I'm moving out soon and hopefully he has learned enough to keep the tank running.

    What eats hydroids?

Those pics are exactly what my hydroids look like. I don't mind scrubbing them on occasion but I'm not going to do it every time I see them getting out of control. I see a few now that are on some rocks at the bottom of my scape and I don't want to completely re-do my aquascape if they are just...

    What eats hydroids?

Noo. Definately not aiptasia. I know what those are and have had issues with them as well. But I have my peps that keep them in check as of right now. I'm almost positive these things are hydroids. And even if they aren't they are stinging my corals and I'm tired of them.

    What eats hydroids?

Wow. I thought this thread just disappeared. I got an email that one person replied today. Well I took the rocks out and scrubbed them to get rid of the hydroids. I got most of em, I hope. And I know they are a phase but they are moving in on my corals and killing them which is why I want them...
