Thanks for your reply, the pump is on a rubber base and it is not a vibration problem, the wife is the one that complains in the evening even though the tank is in the living room. I guess I shall get some sound board and line the inside of my cabinet. Thanks again! Alex

Hello All: I have a Gen X Mak4 pump and it is a bit noisy, is the Iwaki 55 or 40 any better? If you own these two pumps or just even one let me know, I was thinking of getting rid of the Mak4 and replacing it with Iwaki if its much quieter. Thanks! Alex

Hello All: I have a 125 gal fish only tank and its in the middle of the cycle (about 3 weeks) and the pH lever is at 8.6 ! how can I have messed that up?! is it normal for the pH to run a bit high during the cycle or abnormal? if so how do I get the pH back down. Many thanks! Alex
