Ya I'm definitely going with a skimmer to put in my sump tank for my 29gallon reef tank. So far I'm looking at the asm g-mini as the skimmer I'm going to get, heard asm is a great skimmer brand.

That's like someone living in a closest, at least go up to 20 gallons.

I don't have one, or even have a tank yet, but from what I have read you should feed it a little brine shrimp every once in a while, I think like once or twice a week maybe. Looks really awesome.

Ya I was looking at the asm mini because it's rated at up to 75 gallons I think and the price isn't that bad on it, but I've heard that there are problems with it though. Any one have any experiences or knowledge about the asm mini?

Ok cool. I will probably still go with the sump to get a hang of the system working for when I upgrade. I might go with a larger tank. I'm watching the classifieds and noticing there are a lot of good deals that I can get instead of just going out and buying everything. I might end up getting a...

I'm going with a skimmer to keep my system in good shape. Just trying to narrow down the one I want to get. It's proving tough due to the fact everyone has conflicting experiences with different skimmers. lol

But won't a skimmer help keep the tank's chemical levels more stable?

What about sizes? Go with a larger skimmer? Or one more closely to my tank size?
