I've also noticed just today that I have some of these on the back of my tank. Will they disappear or should I try and clean them off. Will they hurt anything?

Tank is 12X30X20D - I have a gramma, a clown, a bar goby, and two small damsels.

This is the second day and my puffer is still laying on the bottom kind of motionless - There is krill and pellets for him to eat, but he did fill up on my star fish his first day in. Still worried, and will keep an eye on him. Regarding acclimation shock...he seemed great the first 24 hours...

We floated him 20 min., moved him to a small bucket and then to the big tank - He seemed absolutely fine until today when he started hugging the rock and not moving around very much.

Ok, so I added a Valentini Puffer to my tank...much to my dismay, he ate my choc chip starfish within just a few hours! Anyway, he is now acting very odd, just kinda hangin out by a rock and stays kind of stationary. I was worried about his diet so I got him some pellets and some frozen krill...

I added a Choc Chip Star to my tank a couple of weeks ago and every thing seemed fine - Yesterday I added a Val Puffer, some small crabs and snails. Something got hungry and had the star for dinner - Does anyone know what might could have done this.

Yeah the girl at the aquarium store told me they may eat corals but if I watch them closely I can just pick them out if I start getting alot of them. I only have one so far but he is very cute...I thought my starfish had reproduced! I've had my tank a little over a year now and I am still amazed...

Anyone have sea stars? They are tiny tiny and look like baby starfish...very cute...anyone know where they come from or if they will multiply? I have only one that I noticed just earlier this afternoon.

There was nothing alive on it...all the little feather dusters and other creatures that develop had disappeared. I used to notice new little live things everyday that developed on it but lately (within the last month or so) there was nothing. My mom had major back surgery last month and the tank...

Thanks for the reply. I read in another thread about boiling the rock to clean dead or decaying matter off of it so I'm gonna try that and then hopefully the new rock will help it seed again. The rock had been in my tank and was looking kinda rough...when I took it out it did smell like the...

How can you tell if your live rock has died and how will it affect the tank and new live rock that was just put in? Anybody know?

I have a 40 gallon tank with a clownfish, gramma, 2 domino damsels, bar goby, and a choc chip starfish. I really really want to add a porcupine puffer or spiny boxfish to the group. Does anyone know if they would be compatible together? If so, which is more recommended? Thanks :help:
