looks nice good idea, u can get away with it being so high off the tank because theyre halides i dont think t5 would penetrate low enough if i did that setup. but again good idea if i decide to go the halide route

getting back into sw tanks after a couple years, picked up a 90 gallon wave tank with stand and canopy for 100 bucks, the tank is scratched from i guess the guy tried to clean it with brillo looks like. hopefully when its full u cant see the scratches any input on this would be appreciated.  ...

ok i have all kinds of algea hair dark green calurpa.the problem is i just was lookin in my tank and it looks like the algea is smoking in the water? what is that and the algea all around it is turning white what is going on is it like seeding in the water to spread more?

hey all i just bought my new lights so up for sale is my old ones. both are on the big auction site. one is an 48" t-5 aquactinics unit with individual reflectors 5x54watt awsome lighting. second is an custom sealife 4x65 watt power compacts. lemme know or just go and bid

192 would be the least i would do maybe look itno an 36" hqi with pc or t5 actinics
