210 crashed(not my fault) new sock list

I am finishing a 200 myself, so this is a good thread for me. I was thinking Harlequin Tusk, really cool fish if you put him in first and let him get acclimated! Gotta love a puffer to go in there. Vlamingi of Naso. XL niger trigger. I just love that fish. Any more ideas?

    stocking list

that's pretty full for a 55, but all being small should not be too big a problem. Coral Beauty ma nip some corals, so be careful, and make sure you have plenty of food for that mandarin before adding!

    All Chromis Tank

I have considered it before, I love Green Chromis. Would make a pretty active tank anyway! Not as much personality as some others, but still cool fish!

    Now Will These Three Work

Consider a tang before you get into Marine Angel keeping. There are several Tangs that would work great (Kole, Yellow, Blue Hippo, Purple). The lion would be fine, even a volitan would be fine for a LONG time in a five foot tank. Two of those and maybe even a nice wrasse would make a pretty...

Looking for a large, active, community fish

if the tank is well established and acclimation is handled properly, the tang should not be too hard to care for. I have a Powder Blue in my 125 and he is cool. A hippo would be perfect though, if that is what u like!

    Garlic?

If you just want the garlic to entice a new addition or sick fish to eat, then the fresh crushed part is not important. But, if you want the garlic for the immune building properties, I would use the fresh crushed or Kent product. HTH

    Tell me what u think

Cruel? No, especially not as a baby. As a full grown adult, you will probobly want to move him up to a bigger aquarium, at least a 55. But for a while, he will be fine. But they grow like weeds....... Will he eat a clean up crew? Very possible. But the good thing is, if he is not cramped and...

    Tangs in 20l

Whew, hot topic! I personally have a 4 inch Regal in my 55, and she is very active and happy. However, I think 20 gallons or litres is too small for a full grown tang. A baby, may be ok for a year, as long as you plan on moving it up in said year to a bigger tank. I have a 48" 55 gallon but I...

Anyone successful in keeping a tang?

I think the length is more important then the gallons am I right? I have a Hippo in my 55 now, and she is happy, but my tank is the recommended 4 foot minimum. She swims around alot, so I think and less length of tank and she would be cramped.

    favorite clownfish

I am partial to the Tomato because I saved one from a LFS. He was being torured by a lion and a trigger, all his fins were shredded and he cowered in a corner. But i got him home, and his fins are growing back, and he always comes to the front of the tank to see me when I get home ;) By the...

    yellow tang

First of all, I have to agree with fishymissy. One thing that I feel is important to keep a tang in a 55 gallon is to not have that "wall of rock". Sure tangs like to graze on algae, my tank makes planty. But my regal will eat mysis and seaweed also, so feeding is not a problem. With not as...

    Which Blenny?

Bi-color are so cool! I have one in my 55. He is a pretty purple now, and he has more personality than anyone in my tank. He comes to the front, and rolls in the sand just to show off. He also likes to eat algae, but now he will even come out and feed on flakes or mysis if I give it to the...
