what the heck is this?!

ok, i was watching my tank and i see this little thing about 1/8 of an inch high, and its on a stalk, and has little tenacle like things what is it, there is a bunch of them.

is the "legs" real thin?
looks kinda like a spider?
With a very thin small longer body?
Legs can shrink up and also go out to about 2 inches

well it seems to be growing on the rock, not moving, and its base is connected to the rock, i'd have a picture but i just cant get one good enough to see it.

oh I only see mine at night and it is on the glass.
I have not seen it on the rocks.
So anyone else have any ideas?

Maybe a polyp, form what it sounds. Maybe a star?

Inject the stem with iodine or kall. Peppermint shrimp work also.

Peppermint shrimp worked well for me . Or you can inject them with kalkwasser. Either way get rid of them they accumulate fast. Good Luck.

I had something that looked like that in my tank. Growing on a rock. I found it by accident while cleaning, didn't know what it was so I dubbed it a tentacle monster. It fell of the rock while cleaning, and moved around for a day or two and I haven't seen it since. Maybe it was something else but it sure looked alot like that.

allright i took taht rock out and killed them little...
anyway, the rocks are in a bucket (not lr so dotn worry ) so its all good

If they're that small they might just be featherduster worms.

careful with aiptsia..if you try to cut it out, whatever peices are left in th erock will grow into new anems!
