Ok here is my plan... I curently have a yellow strip maroon clown about 2" long. i would like to try pairing it up with another of the same species. i have had her for about 6 months and is doing very well. i am assuming at this point that she is a female for being the only clown in my tank...

thanks for the info... six line is the fish of choice for now. if i ever set up another tank i'll make sure it has enough live rock to support a healthy pod population so that i can maintain a healthy mandarin.

would the six line be more active than the mandarin? i'm looking for a lively fish too. I heard they will bury themselves in the sand. do they bury themselves for a long time or only at certain times (day or night)? thanks fez

my tank is just over a year old. i have 40lbs of LR So i guess a six line is better?

i believe the one that i saw at the lfs on sunday was a green mandarin. it green blotches rather than the red/blue swirls.

I have a Prizm too. I've been running it for the past month and the foam collection is not very high right now but like Cap said my tank is new and the BIO load is not very high right now.

I just got mine this week. It's been running for about three days now. Does foam start accumulating right away? Looks like its having trouble making foam. Any suggestions? My tank has about 20 lbs of LR and only a chromis and a pep shrimp.:confused:

I just started my tank about four weeks ago and have the exact same intentions. FOWLR then (in about a year) slowly transitioning to reef. I feel the same waya bout the reef. Simply amazing.:D
