I think you would be fine with on Maxi 900 and a decent powerfilter depending upon whether or not you want to run a filter. I have a 36 bow with a Maxi 900 and Aquaclear 200, and it provides quite a bit of circulation. IMO two maxi 900's would make the water a little two turbulent in a 30.

That's a good question. I run it all the time too but only because the emperor filters come with carbon already inside them.

Thanks Bang. My water temp is 78, so I think 1.023 puts my ppt a little low at around 32-33 ppt.

Is there a nominal gravity you should keep your salt at? Am I within that range?

Hey Bang Guy, What about adding a gallon all at once but slowly (say over a few hours), ala the square drink dispenser jugs people were talking about before. Not sure if they would allow such a slow flow though.
