    Which feeder to choose

I use autofeeders on my FW and SW tanks, I have both nutrimatics and an ehiem, both very reliable. The Nutriamtic is about $15.00, feeds twice a day, and has no provision for keeping the food dry. The eheim is the 'cadillac' of feeders, costs about $40.00, and is programmable to feed up to 4...

    first order

I have a fighting conch- one of the most entertaining animals to watch in the tank- Quite active. I dont THINK that there is much difference between fighting and queens, as far as how they are going to act in your tank, but they will get big- It will be time to whip up a batch of fritters when...

How frequently do you test your water??

Wow.. Great response. I try to do it a couple of times a week, unless making changes to the tank. Any new additions (fish, etc), and I try to test daily, at least for ammonia... I also use some of those relativly quick and inexpensive test strips- I dont find that they have a very high...

    Compatibility questions

As long as they are Dwarf hermits, or smaller reef hermits, they should be fine with the shrimp, although some of the bigger hermits can be aggressive... The ones that I have attack pretty much anything they can get their claws on, if they dont find enough from scavenging, that is...
