    Should I frag?

This monster purple mushroom is growing so fast! It is almost covering another mushroom next to it. Thoughts on fragging it? I can't pull the rock out of the water so it would have to be done in tank! Thanks!

    What are these?

My tank crashed and sat dormant for about six months- no lights, no filter, nothing! I recently started it back up and have noticed these 'things' growing on the rock. I use to have the rock covered in an assortment of zoo's- is there any way they lived through all of that? If not, what are...

    Could they have survived?

I recently re-established my 55g tank after having it sit in complete darkness with no flow for over four months. (tank crashed due to an illness in the family and neglect of the tank) Everything is great in the tank now- all levels fine, fish and coral are doing well. Before the crash, I had a...

Fish staying towards top of tank

I just added a clown fish to my reef tank. He's the only fish in there right now. I added him yesterday and he seems ok except for the fact that he stays in the top third of my tank. Is there any reason why? Test results are fine (a little high nitrites but did a water change before adding him...

Exotic Aquatics Dallas- DO NOT SHOP THERE!

OH yes--- it was the owner that said "shame on you!" and offered us the "new" discount! He even had the guts to ask my brother if he did research on all his animals. I understand business and making money... but come on now! Customer service goes much further.

One of my hammer corals lost all of it's heads! All the other corals are fine and water is good. There are two heads that are just laying on the bottom- still open and looks normal, just not attached to the base. The base part where the heads came off of is a weird white color. Any ideas? Is...

how to safely remove fish without dismantling tank?

take a coke bottle- either a big one or a small one depending on the size of the fish and tank- cut the top part off and flip it around so it makes a funell. You may have to cut the lid off so the hole is bigger for the fish. I actually melted the funel part onto the bottle so it stayed. Throw...
