    Tang for 90 gallon

I know most tangs need more swimming area than what a 90 gallon provides. I heard there is a tang that will do well in a 90 but cannot remember for sure what it was. Seems to me it may have been a scopas. Is this correct or which one is it. My 90 is a reef with multiple sps and lps with 150lbs...

    no description

Does anyone know why saltwaterfish.com eliminated there description portion from there fish and invert listings. They used to explain more about the fish compatability and care needs. This was very helpful when stocking the tanks and determining what to buy. Thanks

I have or ( HAD) a bag of instant ocean that is approximately 8 years old left over from when I had my tank in college. I am setting up my 90 gallon and just poured the 50 gallon bag in about 15 minutes ago. The salt was dry and unopened. It was not clumpy but does not seem to be dissolving...

Thanks airforce. This is a whole house unit I have. It may not be as efficient as an R/O system made specifically for salt water tanks.

    R/O correct PPM

I just purchases a TDS meter and checked my R/O water. The meter indicates the parameters are 014 PPM. Is the number ok to start filling the reef with or are they too high. I have no idea what the highest PPM can be before it causes problems in the reef water. Thanks for the help

    Heater shut off

I must have a misunderstanding of how the controller works. I thought it worked as a shutoff or safety for the heater if the thermostat broke and it would shut it off if the water became a certain temp. This is why I thought I had to set it a couple degrees higher than what the heater...

    That Noisy Mag

I read a post where a guy placed his mag in a separate container with water in it. The water was to muffle the sound of the mag and allow it to run extenally from his tank. I was curious if the water in the separate container smelled stagnant. Brian
