I dunno, it just up and crack by itself during cycling. I didn't even have it up for 2 weeks. I don't have children in the house. I just upgraded to a 75 gallon anyway because I wanted to keep a wider variety of fish/corals.

Test your calcium levels as well....depending on the reading (usually if Calcium is high, Alk is low) dose daily with baking soda...but slowly and gradually the 2 will even out (Alk and Calcium) and your PH will be within range.
