moved the fish to QT with pimafix but couldn't save him it hit and he was dead within 12 hours

I only first noticed signs of this problem this morning, shortly after I posted I moved the fish to QT and used pimafix (the only thing I had in terms of medication, besides copper); but my fish is now dead :(

My sick fish. I'm thinking infection or fungus. There does appear to be some fin rot, slight redishness is head/face area (the pic makes it look more red than it really is). Don't know how my fish got this, i have had him for over ten months, no aggression in the tank, no new tank mates, levels...

I don't know what kind of camera it is; it's my boyfriends. I play around with flash or no flash and the settings and stuff. Sometimes i put them in photoshop and color balance them, but i don't change the color or anything.
