Thanks for the help. My plan is to put the rock in with them heaters and then start filling. Should I do it with buckets and mix the salt in the buckets before I dump into the tank or can I fill the tank up with the water and rock and then add salt since I am going to let it sit?

Did the play sand work good. How long have you had it set up? Does it become live sand. Since you can use dead sand and it comes live. Isn't that plan sand?

I read a couple of places that they used bagged play sand. Does that work. Can you use that. Then I heard you can stick your heater in your sump. How does that heat all the water fast to keep your tank where you want it. Thanks

What do you all think about Canister filters over sumps. If I got like to canister filter that was rated for 150gal tank each would that do good in a 150 gal tank. Would I better off with a sump.

Thanks and no reason he gave. I kind of saw the crush coral and no sand there and I didn't give him time explain. I was already set on getting dead or live sand. Just crush coral never came up so I wasn't sure. Where can I get dead sand. Everywhere I look has live. Thanks again. Larry

I hear all sides of sand. Live or not live. What is the story with Crush coral. Had a guy telling me not to use sand and use cush coral. Told me it would be a huge mistake using sand. What is the forum opinion.
