    New 30 gallon tank

It sure would be nice if the people that worked at these stores knew as much as the people on this message board. I guess I got a little suspious when I was getting different stories about what is possible and what isn't. Even though I am pretty disappointed with what you told me, I sure am...

    New 30 gallon tank

Well I had the LFS replace the lights that came with the tank, to the new lighting. Sadly I forgot to ask what type of exact lighting is is called. I know that I went from 2 - 15 watt bulbs to a 65 watt bulb. (It is two bulbs connected and he called them a 50/50). When he retrofitted my...

Thanks alot!!! I guess I will start out with a couple of clowns, and take it from there. I want to get an anemone for the clownfish to clown around in. When can I add the anemone? Would you add 2 clownfish and an anemone in the same day?

Boy thanks for all of the great advise. I had a friend recommend this site to me, said that it was a lifesaver when he started his tank. I guess he was right. Looks like I will get to go and get a few fish tomorrow. I am so excited :jumping: Thanks again

    New 30 gallon tank

Thanks for your suggestions. Do you think it would be OK to get a tang? My four year old would love to have Dory, along with nemo. How many fish would you put in a 30 gal?

    New 30 gallon tank

Yes, I have had the tank for about 3 months, and all of my levels are great. I took a sample to the LFS and they said everything looked great. They just can't seem to get together on what would do well in a 30 gallon tank. I guess they are used to dealing with bigger tanks. I did alittle...

    Jellyfish hitchhiker??

I have s few spots in my tank that have what looks like the tenticles of a jellyfish. The tenticles are coming out of the gravel of the tank. What are these and do they need to be removed? Help I am new at this.

    New 30 gallon tank

I am ready to stock a 30 gallon tank, and am not sure where to start. The LFS tells me that a sailfin tang would be OK, but after a little research find that they should be in 75 gal or larger. I would love any suggestions to help me fill my tank with fish that get along.
