i bought a phos ban reactor adn that thing works great i hate hair algae like crazy and it keeps it away. I did have to pick it all off and get rid of most of it and then use the reactor but i have not had any come back.

ok thanks. I did a water change and scrubed the overflow vent holes where they were cover ed with alage and tried to get everything clean before i hooked it up. the tank is a about a 1yr old and have no problems other than that.
